Facebook Welcome Page-Happily Blended Blog

Happily Blended Custom Facebook Welcome Tab

Last week I worked with my bloggy friend Brandy Tanner at Happily Blended. She’s a work at home entrepreneur running three blogs, guest writes on a few others and works as a virtual assistant for businesses looking for some relief on some day to day activities. She wanted to enhance her Facebook Fan Page for Happily Blended by adding a Welcome Page for new potential fans and I was delighted to help.

The most important thing was to ensure Happily Blended’s Facebook Welcome page was as friendly and inviting as Brandy is. Secondly, her welcome page needed to be an extension of her website/blog incorporating similar color schemes and fonts.  After several emails, Brandy mulled over her design options and decided to go with a simple welcome page with Brandy as the page’s branding focus. I worked up three samples based on our email conversations and this was the Welcome Page that screamed Happily Blended to Brandy.

Happily Blended’s Facebook Welcome page includes:

  • a Polaroid-style photo of Brandy’s smiling face with an introduction
  • brief text explaining what Happily Blended is all about
  • the goal of her Facebook Fan page
  • video content aimed at the target audience
  • pink background with purple call to action “like me” text area

Happily Blended’s custom designed Facebook Welcome Page was fully functional on Facebook within days.
