Maybe it’s me but food has been in the news all week this week. From a Chicago school banning home lunches to Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution being kicked out of LA’s schools to the Pioneer Woman’s announcement she will be hosting a Food Network show from the ranch and finally the devastating news of All My Children and One Life To Live being cancelled (in favor of an hour show all about food and another hour long show about fitness and healthy living).
Aside from the devastating news of two of my favorite soaps being cancelled there’s one story that has weighed on my heart for days now. Matthew McConaughey and Guy Fieri taped three videos a few weeks ago about how to cook freshly prepared foods on a budget as part of JKL Foundation mission of education people on how to Just Keep Living!
I love watchin Guy cook on his show Guy’s Big Bite BUT this video was an inspiration.
Guy shows us how easy it is to cook fresh easy to get (and relatively inexpensive) ingredients so everyone in the family can enjoy a nutritionally balanced meal in minutes. Perfect for busy families or cook’s with limited funds or kitchen skills.
Anyway, I hope this inspires you as much as it inspired me!
BTW-ABC, if I want to watch more food and fitness TV, I’ll tune into the Food Network, thank you very much! Hopefully Soap Network will pick up both soaps and ABC will leave my beloved General Hospital alone!
